About Our Story
Dear...To...Hey, it's me Grace,
the person behind Dear To Hey. Ever since I was really little, I knew I wanted to do something creative with my life. While jumbo markers, water colour paints and fabric scraps to dress my barbies in, were my medium back then, the joy of creating something out of nothing still never fails to bring me joy. I was always fascinated about the stories that shape a drawing, a sculpture or music, but also how many conversations are exchanged because of those things.
While Dear To Hey started as an outlet to be able to create things with my hands and a well needed eye break from my regular job (design graduate here!), now I want it to be a place that encourages people to care for the people around them and to really connect and exchange stories through thoughtful gift-giving. I think this inspires joy and human connection. I've loved having conversations with people at markets about how things are made, cultural backgrounds and if you're a cat-mum, all things cats and everything in between.
When you buy from this shop, while you might just literally be buying 'things', you're also purchasing a story that's been passed on from me to you (and if you're buying as a gift, onto them too!). You'll be sure to know it's been made with a lot of love.
